Florida’s Panhandle –Visitors are invited to celebrate Florida Lighthouse Day at the Forgotten Coast Lighthouse Challenge April 24-25. The festival offers the opportunity to visit and climb the area’s four historic lighthouses: Cape San Blas Lighthouse, Cape St. George Light, Crooked River Lighthouse and St. Marks Lighthouse. Participants will receive a souvenir tote bag (while supplies last) and a raffle ticket.
The event seeks to raise awareness of the need to preserve these monuments of Florida’s maritime history. Tickets, available at each of the four lighthouses, are $10 per person (for ages 10 and over) and there is a $25 family ticket available for up to five people. Event hours are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.
